In the above video I talk about the Peacock Gudgeon. I wanted to share my thoughts with you about the Peacock Gudgeon. In my experience, the Peacock Gudgeon fish is not found in most pet stores. Therefore, it’s not a common addition to most tanks. If you get lucky enough to find one, I want you to know something about them.
The Peacock Gudgeon, sometimes referred to as a Peacock Goby, is a beautiful, peaceful addition to any community tank. It has a blueish-silver coloring with pink, yellow markings and a black dot near its tail. In the wild it’s native to the Eastern part of Papua New Guinea and is a member of the Eleotridae family.
The Peacock Gudgeon has a tendency to prefer live food over flake food. It is possible to train them to eat other food, and they will get used to eating fish flakes and frozen food like blood-worms.
